Long Rapids Township Canoe Launch (Long Rapids, 12 miles)                               

Public access located off of M-65 in Long Rapids.

Ocqueoc River Launch (Near Millersburg, 10 miles)                                               

Public access at Ocqueoc River Park for kayaking along the scenic river. Calm waters, ideal for beginners.

Thunder Bay River Launch (Alpena, 25 miles)                                                       

Launch at Mich-e-ke-wis Park or Duck Park, offering access to the river and Lake Huron. Suitable for kayaks and canoes.

Presque Isle Harbor (Presque Isle, 15 miles)                                                           

Launch at the marina for kayaking on Lake Huron or Grand Lake. Sheltered harbor for easy access.

Rockport State Recreation Area (Alpena, 20 miles)

Shoreline launch for kayaking along Lake Huron, near fossil-rich beaches.
